California and in 2007 he won the world under-12 championship ahead of Illya
Nyzhnyk, and picked up his FM title as a result. He won his first IM norm
when he won the First Saturday GM tournament in July 2010. His 2nd IM norm
came at the Groningen 2010 Open, while he won his 3rd IM norm at the Berkeley
International (2011), thereby securing his IM title. (1) He is also the winner
of the 2013 U.S. Junior Closed Championship. (2) =3rd (4th on tiebreak) at the
